Plans and devices

Free watermarked tier, £1 / month, £25 lifetime of the core product, and organisation seats. Use EPDF on 3 devices per account.

Version entitlement

Lifetime is the core EPDF product: later core majors are included. It is not a promise of unlimited hosted or per-use services. There is no EPDF 2 or EPDF 3 repurchase for normal local PDF editor features. Hosted AI, substantial cloud storage, and high-volume server jobs may be sold separately.

Edit existing text

Type adds new text on top of the page. It does not rewrite the original PDF words or reflow paragraphs. True content-stream edit stays on the later roadmap.

Edit images in the page

Not started. You can stamp an image or replace a page by redaction raster; moving or cropping the original image object is not in v1.

Office convert

If LIBREOFFICE_PATH is an existing absolute binary, the API spawns it with a safe argument list. Missing path → office_unavailable. Fake path → converter_not_wired.

OCR

English, in this tab: downloads .txt and stamps an invisible searchable text layer. Server OCR spawns Tesseract only if TESSERACT_PATH exists.

True redaction

Rasterise the page and replace it with an image. A black box alone is not enough.

Form field creation

Draw a text field onto the page, then fill it.

Chrome and Edge

Load the unpacked MV3 folder. Store listings are not submitted.

Generative AI

Not in the core product.

Cloud storage

Local-first is the default.

Legally-binding e-sign

Appearance signatures only in year one.

iOS and Android

After a store-payment review. No fake download button.
