Legal
Licences
Individual, enterprise and education — and the core-product rule that binds them all. Lifetime includes later core updates.
The version rule (all licences)
Lifetime means the core EPDF product, including later core majors. It is not a licence for unlimited hosted or per-use services.
There is no later repurchase of EPDF 2 or EPDF 3 for normal local PDF editor features.
An individual paying £1 a month always receives the latest major while paying. Cancel and the entitlement becomes the free watermarked tier.
Three devices per user. Prices are shown in GBP; checkout will state VAT in or out.
Individual licence
£25 buys a lifetime core licence for one person. £1 a month buys the same core tools on the current major for as long as the subscription runs.
You may install on three devices you control. You may not publish the licence token, rent your seat, or run a bureau on one individual licence.
The free tier is watermarked. That mark is the honest difference between paid and unpaid, not a decoration.
Enterprise licence
£25 a seat for the core suite. One hundred seats bought together are £1,500 — £15 each. Leftover seats under the next hundred stay £25.
Seats are assigned to named users by the organisation. The organisation may reclaim a seat and give it to someone else. A reclaimed user loses the paid licence.
Each assigned user still has three devices, not three devices for the whole company.
This is not an unlimited site licence. It is a count of people.
Education licence
The same ladder as enterprise: £25 a seat, or £1,500 for each full hundred, remainders at £25.
Education means teaching, study, or research billed to a school, college, university, or recognised research body. A side project on a personal card is an individual licence.
A purchase-order request on this site is a request. It is not a contract until we accept it and send an invoice. The form does not yet post anywhere.
Students and staff each count as a seat if they are given a paid login. A lab image that many people share still needs a seat for each person using it as their own.
What the licence does not grant
It does not grant generative AI usage, substantial cloud storage, high-volume hosted OCR or convert, or a legally-binding e-sign request service.
It does not grant the right to redistribute EPDF, to run it as a public bureau, or to strip the watermark from the free tier.
It does not grant Windows, extension or mobile builds before those products are released.
