Privacy

The short version

Your PDF files stay on your device. That is the product. We do not run a drive of other people's documents. If, later, you ask us to convert or OCR a file, that job is opt-in, temporary, and not a reason to keep the file.

This marketing site does not need an account. When we start selling licences we will collect the least we need to sell you one and keep the record honest.

What we will hold

Account: name or display name, email address, plan, entitled major, device slots, and organisation membership if you have one.

Money: payment is taken by a processor. We expect to see that a charge succeeded, failed, refunded or was disputed — not your full card number.

Licence: which major you may run, when you last made a qualifying purchase, and whether a monthly subscription is active.

Staff audit: if a human grants, revokes or refunds a licence, that write is logged. That log is for abuse and mistakes, not marketing.

What we will not hold by default

The contents of your PDFs. The text you search. The signature appearance you stamp. Those live in the file on your machine.

A browsing profile for advertising. We do not sell lists of EPDF users.

Convert and OCR, if you ask

Those jobs need the bytes. We will say so at the moment you opt in. The file should exist on our side only for the job and then be deleted. The retention clock will be published with that feature, not invented here.

Legal bases and keep-time

We process account and payment records to perform the contract and to keep records the tax man can read. We process abuse logs to protect the service.

We keep invoices and licence grants for as long as UK tax and consumer rules require. We keep marketing mail only if you asked for it, and you can stop it.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the account we hold, ask us to correct it, or delete the account from /account. Deletion erases personal data. Anonymised payment ids may be kept for tax. Files already on your disk stay there.

You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

A contact address will appear on this page when we take payment. Until then, treat this as the intended policy, not a live request desk.
